The description from Classic of Mountains and Seas
"又东五百里曰浮玉之山。北望具区，东望诸[囱比]。有兽焉，其状如虎而牛尾，其音如吠犬，其名曰彘，是食人。"
There is a Fuyu mountain. You can see Taihu Lake at the north and Zhupi mountain at the east. There is a beast, its shape like a tiger with an ox tail. It makes bark like a dog. The name of this anmial is Zhi and it eats people.

"彘，豕也。后蹏废谓之彘。"
