Qiongqi (穷奇)

 The description from Classic of Mountains and Seas

Description 1:

“又西二百六十里曰邽山。其上有兽焉,其状如牛,蝟毛,名曰穷奇,音如獋狗,是食人。”

Two hundred and sixty miles to the west, there is Mountain Qi. There is a beast on the mountain. Its shape is like cow, and with hedgehog hairs over the body. Its name is Qiongqi. The sound it makes is like dog bark, and it eats human.

Description 2:

“穷奇状如虎,有翼,食人从首始,所食被发。”

Qiongqi is shaped like a tiger with wings. It starts eating the human from head. The person being eating has lose hair.

Tradition of Zuo (左传)

“少嗥氏有不才子,毁信废忠,崇饰恶言,靖谮庸回,服谗搜慝,以诬盛德,天下之民谓之穷奇。”

Qiongqi is the descendant of Emperor Shaohao. It destroys trust and loyalty, adoration of evil words, the actions are against its word, hind the sinful people, and frame others. Everyone knows its name is Qiongqi.

Records of the Grand Historian (史记)

“穷奇,广莫风之所生也。”
