The description from Classic of Mountains and Seas
"羿与凿齿战于寿华之野，羿射杀之。在昆仑虚东。羿持弓矢，凿齿持盾，一曰戈。"
Houyi and Zachi fight in the wilderness of Shouhua. Yi killed Zachi with arrow at the east of Kunlun Mountains. In this battle, Yi held a bow and arrow in his hand, and Zachi held the shield.

Shijizhengyi (史记正义)
"宋州宋城县古阏伯之墟，即商丘也，又云羿所封之地"
The Ruins of Ancient Yibo in Songcheng County, Songzhou. There is also called Shangqiu. This place is the fiefdom of Yi.
Chucizhangju (楚辞章句)
"尧时十日并出，草木焦枯，尧命羿射十日，中其九日，日中九乌皆死，堕其羽翼，故留其一日也。"
At the time of Yao domination, there are ten suns. The flowers and trees die due to the heat. Yao sent Yi to shoot for ten days. Yi shot down nine suns, and all their wings fell off. He left with only one sun.
Luzhouzhi (潞州志)
"三嵕山……俗传为羿射九乌之所"
In the legend, the Sanzong mountain is the place that Yi shot the nine suns.
